This series of 7 masks was made in the 1950s in Senegal. These are unique pieces carved from a piece of Macassar ebony.
The “masks of the seven days of the week”, also called “weekly masks” are a series of 7 masks which symbolically represent a day of the week of the Gregorian calendar.
