Mategot was one of the most renowned French designers of the 1950s, he was the first to use perforated sheet metal, a material he used for most of his creations. In 1952, he obtained the patent and named this fine openwork mesh, similar to lace, with the evocative name “Rigitulle”. A true geo-finder, he invents the machine that folds, pleats, and shapes sheet metal-like fabric, which allows him to express his creativity in infinite ways.
