Description

This set of Marcel Breuer armchairs was designed in the thirties and edited in the 70's by Thonet in Italy (marked on the back, picture n°11). The model Cesca B64 with armrest is the extension of the famous Cesca B32 chair from the same designer. These armchairs consist of a tubular structure with cantilevered base in chromed steel. The back and the seat are made of natural cane, the seat and the armrests are surrounded by a frame in solid beech lacquered in black.

The name given to this collection of iconic seating in the history of design, Cesca refers to the daughter of the designer, francesca.

Curious to know the history of this famous designer of the Bauhaus movement, do not hesitate to read his story in the designer part.
