Robin Day armchair model 675 grey fabric edition Airborne 1952
Reference:
This armchair, model 675, was designed by the British designer Robin Day in 1952 for Airborne (label producer present under the seat, picture n°10). It consists of a black tubular metal structure, a foam seat covered by a grey fabric and one piece of curved molded plywood forming the backrest and the armrests.
The unique shape of the backrest gives to this chair an unmatched structural design.
Galerie44 also presents another model 675 armchair but that is covered by a black fabric and has a different patina of the backrest (picture n°12).
