Chair in ash and straw 1950
This chair is composed of an ash structure, a seat and a backrest in woven straw. It is very similar to the Bauche model by Charlotte Perriand, it has a pretty story behind its manufacture. It comes from the granddaughter of a cabinetmaker who worked for Charlotte Perriand in the 1950s. He had made a suite of 8 chairs for his interior, similar to the designer's model. In order not to copy the model, the difference is on the spacers of the base, here straight, unlike the Perriand model which is tapered.
This chair alone can be placed to decorate a corner of an empty room, next to an entrance console to put on those shoes in the morning or even in a bedroom to put some clothes to put away. It will bring its history with its pretty patina of time to your interior.
