This pair of chairs, called the Palabre model, was made in the middle of the 20th century in Congo. It was purchased from an art gallery in Kinshasa in the 1960s and brought back to France by their former owners. It is composed of two distinct but united parts: the seat and the backrest, the whole in coconut palm. A magnificent work of carved drawing is to be discovered on the wood.
