Le Corbusier armchairs model LC1 edition Cassina 1970 set of 2

Description

These armchairs are the famous LC1 model designed by Le Corbusier in the 1930s and produced in the 1970s by Cassina (model embossed in the metal, see photo). It is composed of a tubular structure in chromed metal, a seat and a back in stretched cowhide. Black leather armrests complete the look.

Like all the creations of Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Jeanneret, the LC1 with its tilting backrest is the result of research into body posture. It offers an ideal space for relaxing while seated, thus encouraging conversation thanks to its reclining backrest.

It’s an iconic model that we love to find in our interiors.
