Cees Braakman chairs model SM08 edition USM Pastoe 1960 set of 4
This set of chairs is the SM08 model designed by Dutch designer Cees Braakman in the 60s, it was published by USM Pastoe (publisher label present under the seat, see photo). It is composed of a tubular structure in nickel-plated steel, a seat, and a backrest upholstered and covered with black leatherette (original). The backrest has a unique curved shape made with a rosewood veneer.
The chairs have clean and elegant lines, suitable for all spaces. Bring a chic touch to your interior or offices.
The designer drew his inspiration from designers such as Charles and Ray Eames and the pieces produced for Herman Miller. This will lead him to work in particular with rosewood. His furniture collections will become very popular.
The matching table is presented here, it comes from the same place.
