Description

This armchair, very rare with the armrests, is the model FB03 of the Combex serie designed by Cees Braakman for UMS Pastoe in 1950. This armchair is composed of a birch plywood structure, a backrest and a seating covered with the famous Bergamo fabric from Bisson Bruneel company.

For this armchair, Cees Braakman was inspired by a Junzo Sakakura drawing presented at the "International contest of low-cost furniture design" organized by the MoMA in New-York.
