It is mandatory to have FAQs, but we believe that the best way to answer your questions is for you to call us.

+ What condition are the furniture in ?

We only display pieces in good vintage condition and/or which our partners have restored. The furniture remains in their original patina and weathered through time. The product descriptions are accurate and the pictures on the site are made with the greatest care.

+ Are the items original editions ?

We offer exclusively original, authentic pieces made in the 1930’s and 1980’s sourced from France, Italy and the United States. No reissued copy is displayed here.

+ How can I buy ?

Galerie44 is a click-and-mortar seller, displaying a collection of furniture online. On each product page, you’ll find the icon « RESERVE THIS PRODUCT » with a form to fill out. We’ll get in touch with you within 24h to agree on the transportation and payment method.

+ What are the shipping costs ?

Everything depends on the item you have had a crush on.

  • For products under 20 kg, we use International Colissimo, a French parcel service, and the shipping costs are displayed on the product page.
  • For products over 20 kg, we have a private transporter delivery everywhere in France. That charges 150€ all taxes included per m3 and then 75€ for any added half m3.
  • International shipping in a wooden crate, we use a freight company who will provide a quote.

+ What are the payment options ?

3 payment methods are possible :

  • Cheque : payable to GALERIE 44 – 159, montée du Moulin 01480 FAREINS
  • Wire transfer : Bank account details will be sent to you by e-mail for a wire transfer
  • PayPal : a 5% surplus is added to the total amount to cover PayPal’s fees.

+ How does transportation through a private transporter work ?

This transportation method is for products over 20 kg. The product is protected during transport by a blanket and delivered to the ground floor via pre-arranged appointment. You should allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. (The goods leave our premises the first week and are delivered to your house on the 2nd or 3rd week.) 

+ What if the object doesn’t match your expectation?

You have a 14-days after delivery to ask for a reimbursement of your order if the products delivered don’t match the description on our website.

You can purchase a transportation insurance for the shipment. To qualify for reimbursement, you must check the condition of the products upon arrival at your home and make any complaints known to the delivery person.

If the product is returned, transportation costs will be charged to the customer.
